A clerical error was found in the mailing sent to churches affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas ahead of the 2026 BGCT annual meeting Nov. 15-17 in Waco.
BGCT churches are being urged to verify their messenger count by visiting the annual meeting business webpage. Once on that page, scroll down to “Messengers & Guests” and “To register,” and click on the link in the first numbered item: “number of messengers for your church.” The BGCT bylaw stipulating the number of messengers is linked there.
A note explaining the error appears at the end of that first numbered item: “Due to an error, some churches may have received the incorrect number of messengers for their church. The numbers have been updated through the online portal. The correct number of messengers should be visible when you log in.”
The BGCT annual meeting will be held at the Waco Convention Center on Nov. 15-17.
