Texans on Mission deployed mobile units to provide food and resources to residents in storm-ravaged parts of Springtown and Runaway Bay.

Volunteers were mobilized to those communities Sunday to provide relief efforts including food distribution, debris removal, and family support.

In Runaway Bay, a rapid-response food truck served 70 hot meals and provided encouragement and prayer to families. A separate team distributed 100 relief boxes and prayed with at least six families.

In Springtown, chainsaw crews cleared trees from roofs and removed hazardous limbs. Those crews will continue working alongside temporary roofing teams throughout the week. A temporary roofing team will also be deployed to Runaway Bay.

On Monday morning, a shower and laundry unit was sent to a Red Cross shelter, with the capacity to serve up to 60 people.

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth confirmed strong supercells that moved through Wise and Parker County Saturday evening produced an EF-2 tornado in Runaway Bay, followed by an EF-1 tornado in Springtown.

EF-1 tornadoes can pack winds up to 105 miles per hour and EF-2 tornadoes can reach speeds up to 130 miles per hour.

Dallas ABC affiliate WFAA-TV reported downed trees and powerlines in Springtown, and city officials reported roads with storm debris cleared during the aftermath of the storm.

WFAA reported two are confirmed dead from the storms.
