  The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor chapter of Enactus launched The Source, a food pantry specifically for UMHB students in need. The John Templeton Foundation awarded a $2.6 million grant to a Baylor University researcher and her colleague at another school to explore virtue development and character strength intervention in adolescents.

  Nativity sets from around the world are on display at Howard Payne University’s Walker Memorial Library. Houston Baptist University received a $20 million donation from Jim and Sherry Smith—the largest gift in the school’s history.

  Kinesiology students from East Texas Baptist University staffed a field day for Washington Early Childhood Center in Marshall. The South Texas School of Christian Studies is now Stark College and Seminary. The Texas Baptist Missions Foundation Council approved 31 grants  totaling $502,550.

  Around the State: TBM still at work in Highland Lakes area

  Texas Baptist Men disaster relief crews continue to work in the Kingsland and Marble Falls areas after homes in the Highland Lakes region flooded. The Wayland Baptist University chapter of Enactus worked with the university’s faculty and staff to donate 42 Bibles to the Crisis Center of the Plains.
