Physical therapy students from Hardin-Simmons University volunteered as short-term missionaries for the Joni and Friends Family Retreat. The East Texas Baptist University men’s and women’s tennis teams traveled to France as a part of the Tiger Athletic Mission Experience program.

Nursing students from East Texas Baptist University traveled to the Philippines as a part of a Global Study and Serve program. Abilene schoolchildren participate in Dream Catchers, an annual day camp offered at Hardin-Simmons University.

Students from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor served in the Cayman Islands. Representatives from the Howard Payne University Baptist Student Ministry ministered in New York City. Hardin-Simmons University psychology and counseling students learned about family structures in a different culture during a trip to India.

Around the State: Texan named as National Acteen Panelist

Emily Morrow of First Baptist Church in Ponder has been selected as a national Acteens Panelist. After donating about 10,600 volunteer hours, Texas Baptist Men wrapped up disaster relief following a series of spring storms in Longview, San Angelo and Abilene.
