After 14 1/2 years as pastor of Chapel of the Hills in Buchanan Dam, Steve Leftwich is retiring, concluding a ministry that has spanned 51 years. During his tenure at Chapel of the Hills, average attendance grew from about 20 to the mid- to high-100s. Through a sustained revitalization effort, the church is well positioned to serve the anticipated population growth in the Burnet-Llano area.
