Rev. Tamiko Jones is the executive director and treasurer of Woman’s Missionary Union of Texas and an associate minister of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Mansfield, Texas. Her election to this position is an affirmation of her extensive service with WMU.
Jones grew up in Ninety Six, S.C., and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina A&T State University. She later earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Dallas, a Master of Arts degree in Christian education from Dallas Baptist University, and is a doctoral candidate in leadership and ministry at DBU.
Jones was an electrical engineer with leadership positions in Motorola and Nokia Siemens Networks before surrendering to ministry.
Jones serves on the Texas Baptist Women in Ministry board of directors and Baylor University’s Diana Garland School of Social Work board of advocates. She finds her greatest joy in moments of mentoring and coaching those seeking to understand the calling on their lives.
Jones’ prayer each day is that she is a faithful steward of the gifts the Lord has given and that she grasps those opportunities God provides to equip others to fulfill God’s kingdom-building purpose for their lives.
