Encouraging faces in Philly

God has used the people, the city and the churches to encourage and push our mission team in unimaginable ways since we’ve been in Philadelphia.

Every Wednesday, we partner with a church in a suburb of Philadelphia for service projects. Being with fellow believers around our same age is so encouraging. God uses those students every week to lighten our spirits and give us a brand new energy for the remaining workdays. It definitely is nice to see familiar faces every week and getting to build relationships with them that will last a lifetime.

After a long week of work, having the time to engage with people who share the same interests and with whom we can work together grows us and pushes us to new depths in our relationships with Christ.

The longer we are here, the harder it gets, but God never said building his kingdom would be easy. And we praise him that it isn’t.
