Arizona: What Muslim means to me

The word “Muslim,” especially in our immediate American context, bears an undeserved load.

Meet Muhammed, a 10-year-old boy, who looks like an average American kid. He likes soccer; he’s a big fan of Real Madrid. He likes cartoons and playing with other kids.

His family was forced to flee Syria because of the civil war, like so many others.

I don’t show this to gain him pity or sympathy, but to show you a picture of most Muslims.

“Muslim” to me just means someone who needs to experience the love of Jesus—not unlike some of your co-workers, friends and maybe even family.
