This Christmas has been exciting. I have been to several church Christmas parties. I have been Christmas caroling. And I have eaten more Christmas cookies than I should.
It was December, that month when all heck breaks loose, when the calendar fills to overflowing and the expenses pile one on top of the other like leaves covering the lawn in the fall.
A coach’s unwavering faithfulness continues to affect one of his students in prison. It’s a story set among life’s sharpest edges with no guaranteed happy ending.
Mary and Joseph did not get right up and leave the stable before the rising sun. They were there in Bethlehem during both day and night. But we always imagine Christmas at night—as if day never came. Why?
