Re: Pretending all is well while the winds howl

I am curious to know which church or churches are being referred to up north and west and away from the coast. Where I am up here in the Panhandle, we haven’t debated social justice and #MeToo and similar issues.

It’s not that we’re ignoring them. What we have been doing is preparing our people to help when and where needed, such as through Baptist Men, to help with natural disasters. As much as the state endured due to Harvey, we, too, have had our fair share of natural disasters up here.

For example, wildfire season is a very tense time in this area of the state. There has been, on more than one occasion, fires that have nearly burned whole towns off the map.

I would recommend being more careful with assumptions about what the rest of Texas may or may not be doing. While I’m sure some are [debating social justice issues], most of us probably are not.
