Letters: School vouchers hurt struggling system

“Baptists testify against school voucher proposals”  really spoke to me.

As a public educator who works tirelessly for my students, I don’t appreciate our senators’ comments on public schools and our teachers. We need the support of our state leaders and not their negative comments. They should try to walk in our shoes for a while and see how hard we work and that we do a really good job of educating our students, despite the lack of funding.

School vouchers would only hurt our struggling system.

What are they thinking?
