In 1947, the same year Baptist University of the Américas began, another institution began a critical work in the Rio Grande Valley to train Hispanic church leaders in a private Christian school. The Valley Baptist Missions Education Center’s great work of training Christian leaders continues, as does facilitating wonderful ministry and mission opportunities for Texas Baptists in the Valley.
