DALLAS—Fourteen months after the ceremonial groundbreaking, Texas Baptist Men began preparing the ground in earnest for an 8,000-square-foot builders’ ministry headquarters, next to the Dixon Mission Equipping Center in East Dallas.

The building will serve as a warehouse for equipment and trailers, with a workshop and administrative offices for ministry staff and volunteers, and it will be named for Bill Pigott of Tyler, who has served two decades with the builders.

TBM Builders have constructed more than 1,600 churches and camp buildings, saving those ministries millions of dollars in construction costs.

The ministry headquarters should be completed in about eight months, depending on the number of volunteer builders who help, Project Manager Weldon Henry said. Once the concrete is poured and the structural steel is in place, the builders will begin their work.

Individuals interested in volunteering can contact Pigott at (214) 707-4379 or Henry at (806) 220-8636. To contribute financially to the Pigott Center Building Fund, call Janice Clary at (214) 275-1114 or click here.
