MARSHALL—One week after the bombings at the Boston Marathon, East Texas Baptist University honored the victims with a Run for Boston event.

Natalie Bach-Prather, the ETBU head cross-country track coach and two-time Boston Marathon participant, organized the memorial event that involved more than 40 people.

“Today we ran four loops in honor of each victim and had great support from the students and ETBU faculty and staff.  Each lap is in memory and honor of the people that lost their lives last week in Boston,” she said.

Bach-Prather ran in the Boston Marathon April 15 and left the recovery tent just five minutes before the explosion. She completed the race with a personal-best time of 3:29:44, qualifying for the 2014 Boston Marathon.
