Students in Clinton Lowin's "Introduction to Baptist Ministry" class at Wayland Baptist University were challenged to look at Wayland as their church and conduct a needs assessment to determine what new ministry opportunities might be available. Little did he know the idea would take on a life of its own.

Healthy Start families participate in reenactment of Nativity
This year, more than 80 families served by the Baptist Child & Family Services Healthy Start program in Laredo celebrated the Christmas season with a traditional Mexican posada—a reenactment of the journey by Joseph and Mary's to Bethlehem.

Thousands of people wrapped in blankets huddled outside Dallas Convention Center last Saturday, waiting for 8:30 a.m. when the doors would open for the eighth annual Christmas Gift 2011, an event sponsored by Operation Care International and supported by Buckner International.
