Texas Baptist Men has named Dwain Carter as state disaster relief director for the missions organization.

TBM Dwain Carter 150Carter has served TBM about two years as deputy director of disaster relief.

Since arriving at TBM, he worked in disaster relief and recovery after Hurricanes Harvey, Florence and Michael.

Carter succeeds Terry Henderson, who served as TBM state disaster relief director from 2012 through 2018.

“Dwain takes this vital role with TBM with a knowledge of how things are to be done and a vision for how to continue relief work into the future,” said Mickey Lenamon, TBM executive director and chief executive officer.

Carter and his wife Leslie live in Forney. They have two adult daughters.
