Bob Cheatheam has resigned as pastor of Builders Baptist Church in Merkel, effective Dec. 25. He continues to serve as pastor of Pleasant Hills County Church in Abilene, a church that serves a mobile home community where Cheatheam plans to start a residential program for men working to achieve sobriety.

Matt Homeyer to Trinity Baptist Church in San Antonio as pastor from Baylor University’s Truett Theological Seminary, where he was assistant dean for external affairs.
