Carroll. Tuesday, participants will take a bus ride to Waco. The group will meet William Pitts, retired history professor of Baylor University, for tours of Oakwood Cemetery, where Carroll is buried, and First Baptist Church in Waco, where he was pastor. The day will conclude with a lunch with speaker Daniel Aleshire, executive director of the Association of Theological Schools, on “The Future of Theological Education.” The event will feature a B.H. Carroll beard-growing contest. Prizes will be awarded for the best naturally grown beard and the best faux beard.
