Shaken: Discovering Your True Identity in the Midst of Life’s Storms

By Tim Tebow with A.J. Gregory (Waterbrook Publishers)

In his second book, Tim Tebow, the Heisman Trophy Winner in 2007, deals with maintaining a Christian witness when life hurts.

Tebow lays out the salient point of the book in the first chapter, “Cut.” He was cut from four professional football teams for 2010 to 2015. Two of those teams he only played for only in the pre-season, and he played only short stints with the other two teams.

The book focuses on his testimony for Christ. After being homeschooled as a missionary child in the Philippines, Tebow went to the University of Florida and played quarterback for the Florida Gators. He won his Heisman as a sophomore, among a plethora of honors he received in high school and college.

The book deals with what happens after his pro football career. Tebow goes from “The Voices of Negativity” to close the book with “What Matters Most.”

Shaken is available in Bible study and audio formats. This 2017 Christian Book of the Year is well worth the read.
