Hello Stars

By Alena Pitts with Wynter Pitts (Zonderkidz)

Based on personal experience, 12-year-old War Room actress Alena Pitts offers Hello Stars as the first volume in a “Lena in the Spotlight” series targeted to Christian girls.

Hello Stars 200Like Alena, Lena Daniels was born the oldest of three sisters. Like Alena’s mom and dad, Lena’s parents set godly examples and take time to ground their girls in faith and prayer. And like Alena, Lena dreams and reaches for the stars.

Lena and her best friends Emma and Savannah idolize teen musician Mallory Winston. When Mallory announces a contest for girls ages 10 to 12 to be in a Christian movie with her, Lena impulsively submits a video with her mom’s help. Only later does she realize a glob of gummy fruit goo rests between her two front teeth. Imagine her surprise when Mallory chooses her.

Lena and her mom head to California before her father and sisters follow for the summer. The young soon-to-be-actress narrates the story of her adventure’s twists and turns with humor, self-doubts and self-assurance. Each chapter ends with a “Hello, God” entry that shows the heart of this nearly-teen girl.

Entertaining, faith-filled and just plain fun, Hello Stars offers glimpses of how God and family keep girls grounded as they follow their dreams.
