Baptists Preaching is a new column from the Baptist Standard. It is not an effort to advance any one theology or style but to present what a collection of Baptists considers a word from God. Likewise, Baptists Preaching offers a repository of Baptist preaching for future study and research. To recommend a sermon to be featured in Baptists Preaching, please contact eric.black@baptiststandard.com.

Michael Mills: Let Them Come (Mark 10:13-16)

Michael Mills

Michael Mills, pastor of Agape Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas, celebrated his church’s ministry to Luella Merrett Elementary School, their neighboring public school, and challenged Agape to do more to open the way for children and teachers to come to Jesus. He recounted his third-grade year with Mrs. Sparks, a teacher who loved and challenged him when he was misbehaving.

This sermon was delivered during the morning worship service at Agape Baptist Church on August 12, 2018, the day before school resumed at Luella Merrett Elementary School.

Sermon is from 27:50 to 49:03
