Arturo Malacara: Moments that Define My Relationship with Christ (Acts 1:1-11)
Arturo Malacara, pastor of Bowles Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas, delivers a children’s message drawing an analogy between athletes and followers of Jesus using defining moments in professional sports. In his later sermon, he focuses on Jesus’ last command before he returned to heaven, that his disciples would be his witnesses throughout the Earth. This was a defining moment in their lives. Jesus redefined his disciples’ boundaries and re-emphasized the nature of their relationship with him as their Lord. Paul, Daniel and David serve as examples of people who had defining moments in their relationship with God.
